UAAP 81 Men’s Basketball Thread
Currently watching the UE game. LOTS OF BAD SHOTS. NAKAKAIRITA

Panget ng laro overall. Di ko na tinapos yung game. Worst defeat of Racela era. Frustrating and uncharacteristic defeat. Di na maximize ang height advantage and foul situations. Hayy.
Im not making excuses in FEUs horrible shooting. But there are a lot of non calls in our plays, for instance in those drives of stockton, theres a lot of contact. But in the ensuing play, Alec was called for a foul on a hand check.
Gametime: FEU vs NU October 03, 2018 Wednesday
Coming of from a forgettable unforgettable huge blow-out loss from Recto Based dribblers last game, Tams are expected to bounce back BIG TIME agains the gritty and tough Bulldogs. After 4 games, FEU seems a box of chocolates, you wouldnt know what it is, until you open, or for that matter, after in every game. Hopefully this time, They get their bearings back. Keys for winning this game are as follows:
- Perimeter Defense- in 2 loses, the Tams were exposed with their perimeter defense liability. Letting oponents score 5 or more field goals beyond 3 point line is a concern.
- Clamp-up Rebounds - very evident in 2 loses.
- Free up Orizu by converting perimeter shots / 3 points shots.
- Attach the basket or Hard drive foul bating lay-up of parker.
- Convert Freethrows
- every ones must contribute.
- Gonzales and Ramirez deserves minutes - This two provides variety of scoring options, they must be utilized.
- Preach Richard not to fall in love in taking the open jump-shots, Hard drives ok Lang, but not those Js, pass it Man.

Tamaraws try to bounce back
The Far Eastern University Tamaraws will try to pick up the pieces following a shocking 65-90 loss to the University of the East Warriors last Sunday.
Getting a big win in their game with the National University Bulldogs at 4 p.m. today at the Mall of Asia Arena will be one of the things that the Tamaraws need to do in the 81st University Athletic Association of the Philippines men’s basketball tournament.
Considered as perennial Final Four favorites, members of the team admitted that they lacked preparation going in their game with the Warriors and this led to their second loss in the four games.
The Tams ended with a 33.87 percent from the field, while UE was at its best with a 45.95 percent clip.
This time, preparing better next game against the Bulldogs is expected to get the team in better shape.
Getting past the Bulldogs will allow the Olsen Racela-coached Tams to improve their record in third spot, which they share with the La Salle Green Archers.
The Green Archers, on the other hand, will try to get over their 61-67 loss to the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons in their 2 p.m. encounter with the University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers.
With the losses absorbed by FEU and La Salle last Sunday, the Adamson Falcons have distanced themselves in the solo lead at 5-0.
The Ateneo Blue Eagles, on the other hand, are alone at second (4-1).
Currently watching the FEU VS NU game. Our offense is good, but our defense is so awful. We keep using zone defense kahit nakakarami na tres ng NU. walang adjustment! Ughh
Buti nakabawi despite NU's hot shooting from downtown from 1st half. Naubusan din ng bala
Kung titignan mo nasa same average pa rin tayo, 68 pts ngaun, 65 pts last sunday. Anyway, its a W, reality wise, making 1 win out of the last 2 games this round will be good for Tams rather than dropping the last 2 games.
Agree.
Any thoughts regarding our game against UST sa sunday?
sana. overconfidence din kasi tumalo sa atin last time. hinayaan nila na lumaki ang lamang at nakipag-exchanging baskets lang. hopefully by this time, ma-maximize na natin ang height natin against UST. saka yung defense na rin, napakalaking sugal kasi kapag lagi tayong naka zone defense. kaya nakarami ng tres ang tigers. everytime na na naka-zone tayo, kinakabahan ako eh HAHA
Sana makabawi kahit mahirap next game. buena mano Ateneo agad haha
Law of the average tlga.
the loss against Ateneo hurts a lot. I just realized once again yung isa pa natin talo sa UST. Imagine kung namaximize natin ang height natin against Tigers (just like Kouame did to us) nanalo sana tayo dun. Dinaan tayo sa box out at gang rebound ng UST. Di natin na emulate yun against Ateneo.
HAYYY
Somehow maganda nilaro ni Ebona. Tams up for him.
Nakakahinayang mga talo natin. Yung 2 of our 3 losses natin sa Round 2, galing sa mga lower ranked teams sa atin. Hindi maganda ito! Reminds me of Petronovela sa PBA ang nangyayari sa atin. Strong lineup pero napaka inconsistent
Under Pressure na tayo manalo against Adamson. I hope ipahinga ni Coach Franz mga players nya. But I doubt it, mag-all out ito, para makapasok na rin ang La Salle nya ughhhh
